INP+ network structure

State level network (SLN) of INP+

The State Level Networks (SLN) affiliated to INP+ are the face and voice of PLHIV across the states in India. SLNs are chiefly involved in Network building and developing good referral and linkages with local State AIDS Control Society, other stakeholders and partners working in the field of HIV/AIDS along with the involvement of other marginalized communities. SLNs also provide services such as counseling, referrals and information on positive living and life after infection to PLHIV. The SLNs form and mentor District Level Networks (DLNs) and Taluk Level Networks (TLNs).

District Level Network (DLN)
In India, each state is divided in several districts. The District Level Networks (DLN) form the base of the SLNs: they act as the entry and service delivery points to the PLHIV and other marginalized communities. DLNs provide direct services to PLHIV such as counseling, organizing and conducting community level support group meetings, developing linkages with the local NGOs and CBOs, distributing nutritional supplements to PLHIV and Orphan vulnerable children, referrals to the ART medication and other health care systems in the community.

Taluk/Block Level Network (T/BLN)
In India, each districts has several taluks/blocks. The Taluk/Block Level Networks (T/BLNs) form the base of the DLNs: they are formed to further decentralize the services, so that more PLHIV have access to all services available at the networks and the government centres, and are directly affiliated to their respective DLN.
