District Documentation and Reporting Plan
Concept (DDRP)
In Andhra Pradesh, to ensure “PLHIV friendly” and stigma &
discrimination free environment, a new initiative has been
introduced under CDC project to assist the existing system to
improve the district documentation and reporting. The programme is
implemented in nine districts of Andhra Pradesh i.e. in Nizamabad,
Khammam, Karimnagar, East Godavari, Nellore, Kadapa, Krishna,
Prakasam, and Guntur respectively. A District Reporting Associate
(DRA), through Telugu Network of people living with HIV/AIDS (TNP+),
works closely with the DAPCU/District Project Manager to
facilitate the services to PLHIV in the district. There is a State
Reporting Associate (SRA) to monitor DRA functions and facilitate
advocacy activities. The essential function of a DRA /SRA will be
to assist the DPMs in enhancing the Strategic Information
Management Systems of the State. In due course, the DDRP concept
will become part of the SACS, under NACP-III to strengthen GIPA
and facilitate in reducing the stigma and discrimination and
improved access to PLHIV as well.
